Avian parasite and bacteria testing
ParasiteVet provides veterinary-led testing for parrots, finches, poultry, pigeons and other companion birds. Our avian services include faecal microscopy for worms, coccidia and protozoa, Gram staining, screening for yeast and avian gastric yeast, and testing for Chlamydia species, including Chlamydia psittaci.
Order your chosen test online and we will send you a sample-collection kit. Collect the recommended pooled faecal sample, return it to our laboratory, and our veterinary team will review the findings and email your personalised report. Results are usually issued within one to two working days of receiving the sample, although occasionally they may take up to seven working days.
