WEBSITE AND LABORATORY DISCLAIMER

Effective date: 2 October 2026

1. PURPOSE OF THIS PAGE

This page explains the limits of general website information and of laboratory findings supplied by MR Vet Ltd, trading as ParasiteVet and Veterinary-Parasitology. It should be read with the Client Terms and Conditions or, for services ordered by a veterinary practice, the applicable Veterinary Practice Terms.

This Disclaimer does not replace those terms, create a separate exclusion of responsibility, or remove any statutory right.

2. GENERAL WEBSITE INFORMATION

Articles, guides, frequently asked questions and other educational material on this website provide general information only. They cannot take account of every animal, clinical history or individual circumstance and are not a substitute for an examination, diagnosis, prescription, treatment plan or emergency care from a registered veterinary surgeon.

If an animal is unwell, deteriorating, in pain or may require urgent care, contact a registered veterinary surgeon promptly. Do not delay seeking veterinary care while waiting for a laboratory result or relying on website information.

3. LABORATORY REPORTS AND TEST LIMITATIONS

A laboratory report describes findings in the specimen submitted. Results are subject to the limitations of the selected method, the type, quality, quantity and timing of the specimen, transport and storage conditions, information supplied with the request, and the possibility of biological variation or intermittent shedding.

A negative or not-detected result does not guarantee that an organism or condition is absent. A positive or detected result does not by itself establish the cause of illness or determine whether treatment is required. Findings must be interpreted alongside the animal's history, clinical signs and other relevant information and, where appropriate, by the attending veterinary surgeon.

The report relates only to the submitted specimen and the animal or identifier recorded on the request. It must not be presented as relating to a different specimen, animal or collection date.

Accessing a report by email or through My ParasiteVet does not change these limitations. If a report appears incomplete, inaccurate, linked to the wrong animal or person, or inconsistent with the submitted request, stop relying on or sharing it and contact us promptly so that we can investigate.

4. PRODUCT AND SPECIMEN INSTRUCTIONS

Follow the instructions supplied for the relevant test or product. Incorrect collection, identification, packaging, storage or postage may affect specimen suitability or the reliability and timing of a result. We may reject a specimen, request recollection or qualify a report where appropriate.

Product descriptions and expected turnaround times apply to the test stated and are subject to the Client Terms, the Orders and Shipping Information page and any product-specific information displayed when the order is placed.

5. VETERINARY-PRACTICE SUBMISSIONS

For a veterinary-practice submission, the report is supplied to the submitting practice. The practice remains responsible for clinical examination, diagnosis, prescribing, treatment, case management and communication with its client. The separate Veterinary Practice Terms apply to the laboratory service ordered by the practice.

6. ACCURACY AND AVAILABILITY OF WEBSITE CONTENT

We take reasonable care when preparing and maintaining website content, but general information may become outdated and may not be complete or suitable for a particular case. We may correct, update or remove content when appropriate.

Website and portal availability may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance, security, technical faults or circumstances outside our reasonable control. This does not affect our obligation to provide purchased goods or laboratory services with the standard required by law.

7. TESTIMONIALS AND EXTERNAL MATERIAL

Testimonials and reviews describe individual experiences and do not guarantee the same result for another customer or animal. Where a testimonial is edited for length, clarity or removal of personal information, we do not intentionally change its substantive meaning.

Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience or further information. We are not responsible for third-party content or services that we do not control. A link does not necessarily mean that we endorse every statement on the linked site.

8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND REPORT USE

Website content, branding and original materials belong to MR Vet Ltd or its licensors. They may not be copied, republished or used commercially without permission, except where the law permits.

Customers and authorised recipients may download, retain and share their own laboratory reports for personal use and veterinary care. A report must not be altered in a misleading way, stripped of information needed to understand it, or presented as relating to another specimen or animal.

9. RESPONSIBILITY AND STATUTORY RIGHTS

We remain responsible for performing purchased laboratory services with reasonable care and skill and for the other obligations that the law places on us. Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or restricts liability or a remedy where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or breach of statutory consumer rights.

This page explains the proper scope and use of general information and laboratory findings. It does not make the customer responsible for loss caused by our breach of contract, negligence or failure to meet a statutory duty.

10. CONTACT
