Rapid in-pouch test plus culture
diagnostic testing for Tritrichomonas . This is a relatively common pathogen that can cause diarrhoea in cats. We see outbreaks in shelters and with breeders in the UK. Samples are tested initially and also following a culture (2-3 days). Results reported as presumptive positive. Treatment may be decided based on this alone or confirmed by PCR. Allow 7 days for this test once received at lab.
